Who it's for

Dating, designed for neurodivergent and disabled adults

Mainstream dating can be loud, fast and full of unwritten rules. Diverse Dating is built differently, by a registered NDIS provider who understands.

  • Neurodivergent adults, including autistic people and people with ADHD
  • Adults with disability, including NDIS participants
  • Anyone 18+ who finds mainstream dating overwhelming or hard to navigate
  • People who'd like structure, clear steps and support staff close by
What's included

Everything you need for a good night

Welcome drink

Included free with your ticket. Choose an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink.

Nibbles

Included free, with gluten free options available.

Ice-breaker game

A group game to kick things off, so you've met people before the first date begins.

Conversation coaching

Light, friendly tips on starting and keeping a chat going, delivered as a game, not a lesson.

Two sets of short dates

Around 5 minutes each, with question cards on every table and a bell to keep things moving.

Support staff on the night

Our friendly support team is there the whole time, so there's always someone to turn to.

Match cards

At the end, mark who you'd like to see again and hand your card in.

Feeling nervous?

That's what the first 30 minutes are for

We don't sit you straight down opposite a stranger. The night opens with a group ice-breaker game and some conversation coaching, run in a fun, game-like way.

It gets everyone laughing, gives you a few easy things to say, and takes the pressure right off.

By the time the dates start, you'll have:

  1. 1Met the group in a relaxed way
  2. 2A few easy conversation starters up your sleeve
  3. 3A drink in hand and something to nibble on
What happens

How the night runs

Knowing what's coming makes everything easier, so here's how a Diverse Dating night runs, step by step.

1
Start

Arrive and settle in

Check in, grab your name tag and choose your welcome drink. Nibbles are out, so help yourself.

2
First 30 minutes

Ice-breaker game and conversation coaching

We start together as a group with a fun ice-breaker game and some light conversation coaching, all done in a playful, game-like way. By the time the dates start, you'll already have had a laugh.

3
After 30 minutes

First set of short dates

Around 5 minutes each. A bell tells you when to move on, and question cards are on the table if you get stuck. Your host explains how the rotations work and a few simple ground rules first.

4
Halfway

Short break

Time to breathe, top up your drink and have a snack.

5
After the break

Second set of dates

More short dates, more new faces.

6
Near the end

Mark your matches

Quietly mark who you'd like to see again and hand in your card.

7
Finish

Wrap-up and relaxed mingling

We wrap up the night, and you're welcome to stay on for a relaxed mingle.
